Checkout

When you have all your desired items in the shopping cart, you will click on "Checkout" on the shopping cart page to continue processing the order.  Selecting this button will transfer you to a secure site where you will enter your purchase information, registration information, billing information, then review/confirm the information prior to submitting the order.  NOTE:  The order is not finalized until you "Submit Order" on the final review/confirmation page.

Personal Information:

The first page is for personal information and registration information.  On this page, you must enter data in all the required fields (typically marked by a small gold ball).  In particular, enter a first and last name (since some registration keys may use this information) and address.  These items should be the same as your credit card billing name/address for online verification.  Also, enter a valid email address.

A valid email address is important for several reasons.  First, the vendor will send your online receipt and registration key information to this email address in addition to displaying it on your browser.  Also, some keys you receive may be temporary for security reasons and a valid email address is needed to provide you with permanent keys to unlock your software.

Another important item in the personal information section is the "Coupon code".  If there are any active coupons for the web store, the last edit box would allow you to enter a coupon code that you may have received.  A valid coupon would reduce your purchase price for eligible items.

Registration Information:

If you purchased a product that requires special information to generate an unlock key, that information would be requested in this section.  Typically, you would be asked for a HotSync Name for PalmOS products, an Owner Name for PocketPC products or a RegCode for either type of product.  If you are not sure what these items are, there will be a link next to each field (a "What's a xxx" link) that you can click to get a description.  For most Front Beach Systems products, you can find this information in the About Box.  You can find more information in the "Software Registration" section.

If a key is required to unlock your software purchase, the Web Store will generate it immediately.  Because the key generation software is still being developed, a wrong key may occasionally be generated (5-10% incorrect in tests).  In this case, you should receive an email in 1-3 business days with a valid unlock key.  You should email sales@frontbeach.com with purchase information if your key is invalid and one can be generated when the email is received and validated.

Billing Information:

This page allows you to enter your credit card number and expiration date.  The name and address you entered in the previous page are used for online validation and the type of card is determined from the card number you enter.

On the right is a summary of the pending purchase.

Confirmation:

Next, this page provides a complete summary of the purchase before it is finalized.  Review this information before continuing and click the "Edit" links to change any incorrect information.  When you are ready, click the "Submit Order" button to process the order.  You should only click this button once.  However, as an added protection, the system should warn you if a similar order was made using your given email address in the last hour and give you the opportunity to cancel the order.  Remember, the order is not finalized/processed until you click the "Submit Order" button.

NOTE:  Also take note on this page how the billing will appear on your credit card statement.  You should see this information just above the shopping cart summary.

Online Receipt:

After clicking the "Submit Order" button, you should see screen that says "Processing Order".  You should not close your browser until the online receipt appears thanking you for your order.

The receipt page will show your "Order Number" (which you should use in correspondence when referring to this order) and a purchase summary including any generated keys.  You should print this information and store it.  You should also receive a similar statement via email.
