Logbook Grid

The Logbook Grid page is the quickest way to enter data and view it in a familiar logbook format. If you have the appropriate options set, you can also view a summary line at the bottom of the grid with totals. It is also where you should print your logbook. It prints best in a 2 page, side-by-side, landscape format (the default). Future versions will provide more reporting options.

The grid page shows entries that fall within the current filter. The current filter is shown in the filters toolbar at the top of the logbook. Look at the "Menu/Toolbars" page for more details about filters. Remember to either clear all the filter options or select the disable filter option from the toolbar if it appears some of your entries are "missing". Note that new entries that don’t fit in the current filter will be shown at the end of the list until the filter is reapplied.

This page is a good place to quickly enter data and view totals (with the correct options set). Along the top of the grid page, you will see the labels for each of the fields (which you can set in the preferences). Below this, you will see all the fields in a one entry per line format. Click in a field or use the arrow keys to move the highlight to edit that field. When an entry has been edited, a "pencil" icon will appear in the left column to show changes. Changes will be automatically saved when you move to a new record. If you make a mistake, you can press "ESC" to cancel certain changes.

If you have the display totals option set, you will see a list of totals on the bottom of the page. These totals are only valid for the entries currently displayed based on the filter settings.
