This program is compatible with PalmLog v1.x for PalmOS, FB FltLog v2.x for PalmOS and FB FltLog v1.x for PocketPC. These programs are very similar with a couple differences listed below:
PalmLog v1.x is the freeware version of the basic logbook for palm. It synchronizes using a custom conduit. Only the logbook entries are synchronized, support databases are not. Additionally, this version only has 2 counter fields and does not have the 2 extra checkbox type fields.
FB FltLog v2.x for PalmOS is the shareware version of the basic logbook for the palm. It also synchronizes using a custom conduit. The logbook and support databases are synchronized with the Windows version.
FB FltLog v1.x for PocketPC is the shareware version of the basic logbook for the PocketPC platform. This logbook will synchronizes using a program that is run from the menu/toolbar. All databases are synced with the PC.
If you are using one of the PRO versions of our handheld programs, this logbook program is not compatible. A different PRO version for Windows with more advanced features will work with these handheld programs.
If you are already using one of the handheld programs, you should run this logbook and set the "Handheld Options ". After setting the options, you should backup your PC and handheld logbooks then you can sync your device to this logbook.
You should not make any changes to your logbook while a sync is in progress as those changes may be lost. After a sync is complete, if your logbook is open, it should reflect any changes brought in from the handheld device.
As you use this and your handheld program, you will learn how prefer everything to operate. The default settings for the handheld sync should work for most users, but feel free to experiment to see what works for you. You should make backups of your logbook regularly and keep the backup in a safe place.
NOTE: If the logbook is open when you sync with the handheld, some data may be displayed incorrectly. Close the views and reopen them to correct the display.
WARNING: This program is only designed to sync with a single handheld device. Attempting to use the program with multiple devices will produce unpredictable results.
